I usually can't hear anything for a good two days after an intense listening session so I can't personally tell you whether my XPAs creak or not. I hope you get it under control I could see this being annoying after a while. :/

I don't own an XPR(yet), but it seems to me a silicon spacer(gasket if you will)between these expansion surfaces would solve the problem???

I never noticed it until you guys brought it to my attention . I hear it every now and then. I'm more annoyed when my wife starts talking to me during one of my listening sessions. The creak lasts about .05 sec so as long as it doesn't hurt the longevity of the XPR-2, it's cool. I'm not about pull this 100 lb. amp out and turn it over either. Not as strong as I used to be.
