I've added a Sonos Playbar to my gear and I must say I'm impressed. It's plays relatively loudly with decent bass response and a high level of fidelity. It's connected via a digital cable to my 65" display (mostly for TV duty) and blows away the internal speakers. It's also is part of my Sonos network and it does a great job of filling the room with a very listenable level of SQ. Like all the Sonos I own, it's well made, good looking, easy to set up and sounds great.

I heard one and I too was impressed. Maybe pair it up with the sonos sub? I do have a Sonos sub, but its in another room right now. Not sure if I'll do that here though. If I want the really big sound I can just turn on my theater. This was done for casual TV watching and to have Sonos in that room for background music. The sub is very good though.

How does dialogue sound on the Playbar ? It's very good. TV shows and sports are great. no lip sync or sibilance issues..

I also have a Playbar, along with 2 Play-3's and the Sub on my secondary system, which is mainly TV watching and videos for the kids. I like it alot, basically for the reasons you mention Porscheguy. The sub definitely kicks the whole thing up a notch. Watched the Cars 2 movie on this system on the weekend and the sub made the floor shake with some of the explosions in that one.
