New XPA-5 and UMC-200 owner and could not be happier. Turning my attention to my 13x11 home office where I do some serious two channel listening. I have new B&W 805D's that are currently being powered by Parasound Halo P7/A23 separates. Have always thought of eventually going to monoblocks, and I hear great things about the XPA's with the XSP-1. Was curious about whether the XPA-1's or XPA-1L's might be a better fit given the size of the room and that the 805's seem power hungry. I am running a Music Hall turntable, and will be adding the ERC-3 as well. Also a Sonos Connect.
Appreciate any and all feedback!

I think the XPA-1Ls should be plenty! And they are so sweet,,,,,,,,

Welcome to the lounge, and congrats on your Emo system they make quite the HT/ music set up. Funny there seems to be lots of chatter on the B&W speakers of lately in particularly the 805 bookshelves speaker.
I own a pair and use them for rear duties, they where too good for surround ....I would think the XPA-1L monos are plenty powerful for the 805D's for sure.

He's a novice at being Nick, but a professional at monoblock appreciation. This is Nick's bedroom system. He was going for a compact look.  He once wanted to get into headphones, so he got monoblocks for them too  |
