Anyone using a tube integrated pre-amp with their XPA-2 amplifier? What are your results? Thanks.

Several users here who have Tube Pre with Emotiva amps, not necessarily XPA-2. Don't recall anyone having issues with this kind of setup. It works and sounds good by all reports.

Anyone using a tube integrated pre-amp with their XPA-2 amplifier? What are your results? Thanks. I don't want to sound condescending, but a preamp and an integrated are two separate things. Unless your integrated has preamp outs I guess. But that would kind of defeat the purpose of the power amp section IMO. To answer your question I had a tube pre with my XPA-2 for about a year. It works great and I know there are a few others here doing it with various solid state amps. It's a great way to get your feet wet with tubes. I prefer to have a SS preamp and tube power amps however. But that does tend to get expensive. Peace ....

I have a Vincent 236mk hybrid intergraded and have used the pre outs to an xpa-2 and have liked the results. I did not feel that I gained anything by doing this over just using the intergradeds own amps. It just gave a different flavor.
