Any plans to produce a XPR-3. It would compete nicely with the Parasound Halo A31 or ATI 3003. It's a hole you need to fill.

I am thinking probably not. I vaguely remember a few months / years ago Dan talking about the XPA-3 not having alot of sales. So I am thinking that an XPR-3 is not going to happen

I'm guessing the that the XPA-3 was not a big seller, cost to use factor, therefor I don't see why a XPR-3 would be warranted. You need to sell more then a few to be cost effective.
I wouldn't build one. Just my two cents,,,,,,,,wait,,,,,wait ,,,,,wait,,,,,,,,R series, right? ,,,,,,,,,two dollars worth of opinion!! 8)

Of Course Novisnick would not build or buy anything that has more than one channel...

If you are thinking about XPR level of amplification, you are usually not thinking of a three channel amp. 5, 2 and 1 yes, but usually not three.

I use my setup for primarily movies, and having that level for the front speakers might be nice. Don't need it for the surrounds.

I suspect that most people are doing an set of XPR-1s or a XPR-2 for stereo......... and probably XPR-5 for multichannel.

In your case i would argue that the XPA-3 is perfect while a XPR-3 if it existed might be a bit overkill. Of course more specifics like the size of your room and type of speakers you have will come into play but for >90% of the folks, 200W per channel is fine. Have you seen this video yet?

Nice. Using my Def Tech speakers and my XPA-2s, it calculated a SPL of at 111.3 db at my listening position. And that's just figuring my stereo setup. I love my XPA-3. It does very well in keeping up with my XPA-2s.
