I am working towards 7 XPA-1L's and was wondering if I could get away with powering 4 of them on a 15 amp circuit if I am using them to drive my 4 Axiom QS-8 surrounds. Seems like I would be at the limit but, with driving surrounds might be OK seeing as they are rated at 400 Watts into 4 ohms.
I will run the other 3 XPA-1L's on a separate 15 amp circuit to drive the front Axiom M89 and VP150 center which should be fine with each of those speakers also rated for 400 watts at 4 ohms.

You should be fine. 120V*15A = 1800W 1800W/400W = 4.5 units if you go by name plate rating of 400W. (on back of unit) Any specific reason why you want to go XPA-1L all the way around? (besides looking Boss in a rack.  ) |

The surrounds should not be very taxing to the amps at all.
Should be plenty and what a nice sound I'm sure!!! 8)

The reason is flexibility for whatever I do in the future (next 10 years) with the Mono Blocks as they will drive pretty much anything I can afford speaker wise to throw at them with authority.
I plan on using open salamander racks

Even in A/B mode they are the warmest running amps that I have owned from Emotiva so they will need adequate ventilation.
