Great news! I received my April 2015 issue of Stereophile today and there's a very positive review by Robert J. Reina on the Airmotiv 4s. Also, there are measurements done by John Atkinson. Robert's review mirrors my own feelings on how great this little loudspeaker is. Right now, there is a provisional rating of Class 'C'. I'm hoping they will increase it to, at least, a 'B' rating. I will Post a link once Stereophile Posts the review to their Website.

My mag just showed up today but I have not had a chance to read it yet. Glad to hear they liked them. I know the Home Theater review of the Stealth 8's was fantastic not too long ago!

I think Class C is fair and respectable. They Stealth 6s and 8s would be borderline class A I think.

If you look at the rated products, they're all over the place on pricing. So, it doesn't mean much, but I get your point. At worse, I hope they don't end up lowering the rating in the future.

It's gotta be put in class C. These things are just $300! And a great buy too

Class C is great for a $300 speaker. That puts it a BEST BUY

If Emotiva raised their price to $1500, maybe they'd get a Class A or B rating. ..LOL

After reading the review in its entirety I see nothing knocking this speaker at all. Only praise. I cannot imagine many speakers in this price range competing. Come to think of it I cannot think of many products that compete dollar for dollar with what Emotiva brings to the table across the entire line.

And if it cost $5,000 a pair it would have moved up to Class B recommended. $10,000 and Class A status.

Great review. For what it's worth the Airmotiv 4s is the least expensive loudspeaker in class c (restricted LF ) with many over a g and one over 5. Looks like a perfect fit for my small home office.

Why? The lowest priced loudspeaker in Class A (restricted LF) is the KEF LS50 at $1499.99 a pair. I've been a Stereophile subscriber on/off for decades now and never seen a speaker this small (4.5 inch mid-bass driver) above a Class C rating. Personally, I was seriously considering returning to a model in the Magnepan line. After I received my Stealth 6 pair a couple years back, I yearn for them a lot less because of the Air-Motion tweeter. I purchased a pair of the 4s a few months ago and could not believe the resolution over the Stealth 6. That may be due to the increased bass response of the larger driver in the Stealth. Plus, I have them pretty close to the front wall, and use room correction. I run the Stealth 6 full-range because, to me, it sounds better without using Bass Management.

Okay so who is going to take the time to re-type the entire review on here? I would just suggest somebody scan and pdf the review but not sure that is allowed on this forum.

Just wait until it is published on their website. Are you sure everyone can wait THAT long in today's world of instant gratification?
