Welcome to the Lounge! Just a word of advice, don't get talked into joining that stuffy elitist monoblock society by their crazy CEO. Watch "The Firm" if you're on the fence about this.

Welcome ceptorman! And don't listen to monkumonku. He's still kicking himself for selling his XPA-1s.

Hi ceptorman,
Welcome to the lounge. Glad you found your way here. Stick around a while and I'm sure you'll make some friends then you can become an "Emotiva Friend For Life". Our only requirement is that you make a friend here on the site. Were not stuffy like that other club. You'll find out about them. You have to purchase a certain type of power amp "mono block" to join that club. I'm not sure but I think if you sell your equipment I think they kick you out. They have me terrorized afraid to even consider selling my two XPA-100's. We'll talk ...

And a hearty welcome from SW Michigan. When I saw in your title that you are from Indy, I wondered if you might be Klipsch fan. I don't see a signature with all your gear detailed, but your avatar suggests that you are. I drove to Indy from Michigan to buy my first pair of La Scalas and that's the only time I've been there. But it started a now large collection of Klipsch speakers (see my signature) that will one day be the audio centerpiece of my home theater. I guess I'm one that enjoys the "horn sound"!
So, what's in your Klipsch stable???
Glad to have you....don't be a stranger!

So, what's in your Klipsch stable??? Glad to have you....don't be a stranger! Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm in the process of switching from Polk to Klipsch. I have a pair of Klipsch Palladium P38 fronts, but still using Polk for surrounds and a Polk sub. I know that's not ideal, but it's all I got. I got my Klipsch from a Klipsch acoustic engineer, and I remember he made a comment that a company named Emotiva was very good, especially for the price. I was browsing CL Sunday and saw an add about a guy selling two XPA-2 Gen 2 amps, so I made him an offer for one, I think I got a deal. I am currently powering everything with a Yamaha RX-V663, but I know my speakers are wanting more power. I have not connected the Emotiva yet, work has me swamped, hopefully in the next day or two.

I've never experienced Palladiums, but being at the top of the Klipsch food chain, I have to believe they sound incredible. And I'd take bets that when you switch their power to the XPA-2, you will hear an audible difference. One heck of a good start to a great system! Congrats!

Welcome! Welcome! So glad you found us!!,,,,,,,,we were Sooooo lost!! Now you are too, but don't worry, there's lots of friends to find here and plenty to drink in! Info! knowledge! Good fun and of course plenty of cool-aid. Enjoy! Drink up up all the Emo Goodness!! Nick - It seems to me that the newer members are getting a Kool-Aid that is more blue-green than the true blue Kool-Aid I recieved right before my first purchase. I've always been quite pleased in the way my blue Kool-Aid exactly matches the power lights on my gear. Has Emo started sourcing the Kool-aid from a new supplier? How are the new members going to enjoy their gear as much if their beverage doesn't match? Dan and crew may be spending too much time on new technology and overlooking the aesthetics of proper hydration ... I hope they can get this color thing fixed, it's just not right!!! Oh! and Welcome ceptorman !
