XPR-5 problem

Yesterday, I was turn on the amp for a movie and turn it off after watching the movie but within few second, I guess I forgot something and want to re turn on the amp again. The result was one of the five lights flashing and I could not turn on the amp totally. So my friends suggested me to power off totally and wait for few minutes, I turn on the amp again and it turn out to be OK now. My question is that could I turn off the amp and turn on again within few seconds. Thanks

One of the worst things you can do to an amplifier is turning it on and off too quick, and too often.

Built in protection circuit was just doing its job, I'm sure.

Best order of things is to turn the preamp on first and make sure the volume is down, then turn the amps. on. Same thing on shut down....get the volume low first, then shut down.

I think your amp being put into stand by mode was adjusting and shutting things down, but when you turned it back on quickly it did not have time to recalculate the command and ended up in partial start up or shut down mode. Simply take more time in between turning on and off your amp and you should be fine.
