Emotivas stance is that there is no way to actually know which calibration is more accurate considering all of the variables at play. If its really just a subjective thing, it has me wondering which sound people are preferring, the sound produced using the original LE cal file, the new Full cal file, or Socketmans CS file/Ansats math file.
I've personally tried the cal file that came with Full and Socketmans CS file, and I preferred the CS file. I found the results from the Full cs file to accentuated in the lower mids and lacking in low bass. Just curious what other people are finding.

are these files available somewhere for download or are they only in the Full version of Dirac? I guess Ansat's can be found somewhere buried deep in a thread ;o) do you have a link to it? Or I go fish?
EDIT: Found them, in Ansat's signature ;o)

In order to judge the calibration file that comes with update 3.0 did you take the measurements again to avail of it?

In order to judge the calibration file that comes with update 3.0 did you take the measurements again to avail of it? What do you mean? I ran Dirac with the default 3.0 cal, then listened and measured with REW. Then I re ran it with socketmans cs file and then retested.

So it's looking like the vast majority of people are preferring one of the 90° cal files (the one's in ansats sig). Interestingly Dirac also recommends using an accurate 90° cal file to take measurements.
It would be nice if Emotiva would release an official 90° cal, even if they provided that and the current file so people could choose. Not that there's anything wrong with ansats file but it would be nice to have one from Emotiva thats based on a bigger sample of mics.
