Tonight I put the XSP-1 to good use. I started transferring some of my old vinyl to 24 bit/48 kHz digital. It's so much fun listening to the old albums, It sure brings back some great memories!

I look forward to a similar project, and hope to hear some long lost treasures. What are you using for the digital conversion?

I'm using Diamond Cut DC-8 software with a Soundblaster X-Fi Elite Pro. It's an old card with a very good AD converter. 24 bit/48 kHz may be a little overkill, but I'll drop it back to 16 bit after cleanup.

How did the Backstreet Boys get into this thread about converting LPs to digital? Also why is the same thing posted three times?

hello emos who can help ? how good does the reference stereo mode sound: from the rmc-1 compared to the xsp-1 preamp? does he sound better? or worse? or is it equivalent? the rmc is so good. that he can possibly replace the xsp? ?
because the rmc has no phono. is still an xps-1 or sp-1 on the subject which is good / equivalent, or better than the phono of xsp-1. it should not be a compromise. but at least equivalent. but the goal is a better sound like the xsp-1 ?? best regards peter
