Sorry fellas. I'm sure this type of question has been beat to death. I'm new to the forum as well as the home audio hobby. I did lots of Google searching before I decided to post. I recently picked up a pair of Polk Rti10's for next to nothing. I knew my onkyo tx-nr838 wouldn't be enough to push them sufficiently without an amp so I purchased a pair of UPA-1's. Will this be enough to run the RTi's in large or should I still set them up as small and set a crossover frequency? I plan to hook up all my new equipment this weekend. Thanks in advance.

They will have enough juice to run the 10's in whatever fashion you choose. I had the RTiA7s which are 10s in a different cabinet and drove them with an XPA-5 which has the same amp modules as the UPA-1.

They wiull do grreeeat! I run axiom m80's with a UPA-2. Now, something like an XPA-2 does do a little bit better. But seriously, you will be stunned at how much power those UPA-1's have.

You guys were absolutely correct!! The UPA-1's do a fantastic job of powering the RTi10's. This morning I picked up another UPA-1 off of eBay to power my center channel.
