I heard the latest XDA-2 G2 changes volume level faster. Does anybody know if there's a way to get faster volume changes on the XDA-2? Are there any firmware tweaks or anything like that to try? I've messed around with a programmable remote trying to get it faster, but sending multiple volume +/- commands per keypress is cumbersome and just as slow. It's driving me crazy — it's way too slow for watching films/TV and other dynamic content. Any ideas?
Other than that it's still a really good unit.

Yes. The DC-1 will change volume so fast it makes your head spin!

I looked at that, but as it turned out I needed two optical inputs so the XDA-2 was a better fit. I can't justify getting the new one just because of the remote speed though — anybody have any tips?

I didn't know the Gen 2 changed this, but it was one of the few complaints with the original. I've never heard of a solution, but it never bothered me that much (though I did always think 0.25 dB steps were a bit much ... er, too little).
