I currently have a DC-1/minX combo in my study , which I like, but seems very slightly under powered. I'm thinking that I might move the DC-1 upstairs to use as a pre in a separate 2 channel there. So, I was thinking about integrated amps of modest footprint in the 100W range for the study, and found the Peachtree 125 and a Wyred4sound mINT.
Has anyone had experience with these units and can comment on SQ? I've tested the peachtree at the dealer and liked it; it seemed to have sightly less instrument seperation than either my Denon AVR or the DC1/miniX, but the difference could very well be that due the fact that I was not listening on my Phase Techs. How are these units going to sound compared to the DC-Mini-X.
I don't have space for an xsp-1 upstairs, but are there any other preamps that might be worth considering? That way, I could keep my the DC-1 in the study, since I already have a DAC for the upstairs.
