Someone local to me is selling a mint XPA-5 gen 1 with both trims, box and all accessories for $650. It still has warranty until 2018. Is this a fair price? Would something closer to $600 be more practical. I'm thinking about purchasing this and selling my UPA-1's.

Not a bad price at all. You could probably find one a little cheaper if your not in a hurry to buy.

I would offer $600, which to me is fair especially if it's local and you don't have to worry and wait for shipping

Do you know if the used ones from Emotiva offer any warranty? I see Dan is on maybe he can chime in on that one, but if I remember correctly it is one year, if that local one has around 3 years warranty still and both trim colors $600 is a fair price IMO, like I said when no shipping is involved that is a bonus, not that I have had any issues...Knock on wood....haha but it's nice not waiting either Chad

Do you know if the used ones from Emotiva offer any warranty? I just called and asked about a used one from Emotiva. They were $549, with a one year warranty, but they didn't have any a couple of days ago. I ended up ordering a new one. Should get here next week. I can't wait!
