Hi I'm brand new to emotiva and just placed an order for the XPR-5. After placing the order, I received a message stating: my order is under review and needs to be approved bla bla blahhhh....did anyone on here have this problem when ordering from emotiva? Nothing's wrong with my payment or information, I wonder what's the big deal? In any case, I called them and the lady on the phone said that the person who approves is not in today and it won't get done till the morning. Does this mean I'm going to miss their Tuesday's shipping schedule? I was hoping to receive it by this weekend.

I had a similar experience ordering my XMC-1, except the message must have been updated. Mine said there was a problem with the credit card transaction and I should try again later. After 5 attempts, I checked my card online and saw 5 pending authorizations! When I called last Monday, they had ironed out the payment issue. Maybe the fraud protection features on the card are preventing an authorization of that size from going through.
Anyway, everything looked good, the status was shipped with a UPS tracking number, but by Wednesday, not turned over to UPS. I found out it would not ship until the following week, and as of now, it still hasn't. I'm guessing you might see it the weekend after this one.

This is an issue with the software Emotiva uses to process credit card transactions. It happened to me when I ordered my XMC-1. I tried 3 times to order this with no success, but there were three holds on my credit card, so it definitely went through as far as the credit card was concerned. When I called to tell them about it the following day, they knew about it and reversed two of the three attempts instantly. So if you get that "it didn't go through" for some reason don't attempt it again, and confirm by phone the next day. I'm surprised that this hasn't been corrected by the vendor that supplies their software.

Finally this morning after much wrangling with emotiva about my original order placement, I reordered it via PayPal and apparently the XPR 5 is on its way!! ETA Monday May 11th :-))

I find it odd that after placing the order this morning, I received no confirmation email from emotiva regarding the order I just placed. I only received a confirmation from PayPal. I also did not receive any shipping info from emotiva, only from UPS. And I had to call emotiva twice just to make sure they received my order the first time and a second time to get a tracking number.
For a company that claims to have been around for many years, it's just strange how the order taking process seems so immature. I just hope problems with their products are handle much efficiently.
Have any of you guys experienced this?

I've ordered way more gear then I should have and they take great care of there family ( customers ) I promise. They ship by about 4PM the next day and then I usually get shipping info. i have received each piece of gear in two days following the day I've placed my order. Your mileage may vary!! Depending where you live. Yes, we are all two years old when it comes to wanting our gear ASAP. Believe me, I do understand those sentiments,,,,he,,,,he,,,,he,,,, They want you to get your gear ASAP as well. Patience my new friend!

I think you misunderstood me Novis. My concern was not about the shipping times. Just found it strange that after I placed an order for the XPR 5, there was no email confirmation what so ever from emotiva stating they received my order etc etc....you know like the one you get from most online merchants immediately after an order is placed. If it wasn't for PayPal, I wouldn't have even known that I just ordered a $2300 toy! LOL
Just found that to be strange is all....hey it will all be gravy and long forgotten when the XPR 5 gets here and my mind/ears gets transported to nirvana :-) in the end, that's all that matters right?
