My kids are becoming increasingly more involved with music (which I love) but of course it's all digital. No time for CD's..... I'm certain the XDA2 will improve the listening experience but can we/they connect iphones/ipads direct to the XDA2? It will for now be connected to Denon X4000
I also run AppleTV but I don't purchase many songs so my 1000+ collection, the majority of mine are loaded on lossless (FLAC I think), that I listen to in the car don't show on the AppleTV without purchasing the sharing license thingy (forgot what Apple call it).
So Q is regarding connecting apple devices directly to the XDA.
Thanks for any input coming.

I've never had any experience with a DAC before but did have an ERC/USP combo in my system some time ago. Wishing I still did actually

1)connect your Apple TV to your XDA-2 via toslink. 2) Using Airplay on your iphones or ipads, stream to the Apple TV. 3)Using Apple's free Remote app on your iphones or ipad,, stream from your tunes on your computer to the Apple TV. 4)Enjoy the music.
BTW, no way to directly connect to the XDA, and a CD IS digital.
