Great choice and I know it's a great choice because I have the same combination UMC-200 + XPA-1L's + XPA-5.

Well, these came in today and I got them set up. The only word I can think of to describe how these sound is stunning! It is hard to believe how good music sounds......even compressed music. I guess the deal about having plenty of headroom is really true. I have literally sat here this evening with goosebumps as I listened to some of my favorites. This has been a good year so far.....in January I heard how improved our HT system is with the XPA-5. Now these amps take my two channel listening to another level.
Lonnie, if you're reading this......THANK YOU!!.

While I was waiting for these to come in today I looked at something I haven't thought to look at on the web site.....the "testing results" for the amps shown under resources for each amp (some of them). These amps put out 350 watts which of course is well above their spec rating of 250. It is also well above the results for the XPA-5, the XPA-2, and the XPA-100. I am really feeling that these are literally a huge bang for the buck.

I started them in class AB and after a couple of hours switched to A. They got fairly warm in AB, considerably warmer in A particularly when I pushed them some.......but not really hot. I am loving these things.

Well, I'm sure they'll help some with heating because I plan to run them hard every day! mine just get warm to the touch and i ve had some really dance blue lights watch your ears though.. |
