Hi all, First time buyer from South Africa. Bought my first Emotiva product, the XMC-1, during last week. It looks just about perfect for my requirements.
Going to run in system with Classe/Proceed amplification and B&W speakers.
ETA around the end of May.

Hi carel1966 - May I echo Mr. novisnick in saying "Welcome" to the Lounge. This is a far friendlier place than most on the internet, and although we do get snippy sometimes, there's usually a level of mutual respect here that you don't find many other places. Congratulations on your new XMC-1 - I'm envious! Please take the time to write up your impressions here. We'd all be interested. I have contemplated the XMC-1 several times, but didn't ever pull the trigger. Since 90% of my listening is stereo rather than multi-channel, my current rig suffices. I am seeing more and more Emotiva used with higher end electronics(McIntosh, Classe, Krell to name a few). THis tells you its acceptance with the high end community is growing

I have received my XMC-1 and so far all good. Connected everything last night and ran Dirac this evening. Wow! First impression is simply that this thing is awesome. Tested the usb steeaming from my HTPC and love the fact that I can switch between different resolution files without any dropouts. Can't wait for the weekend when I can spend some quality time with my system |
