It's from "Spin Central City LLC" - not Sears though...?

I think there's GOT to be a misprint on that price...

Wow...I hope anyone who finds that page does just the slightest bit of cross-shopping! I wonder what and XMC-1 costs...$5000?

An example of the price difference between internet direct and conventional retail.

I think there's GOT to be a misprint on that price... Not really. Notice it is being sold by a 3rd party merchant, not Sears. Probably what they do is when some sucker orders from them, then they in turn place an order with Emotiva, probably having it drop shipped directly to the purchaser. So the only thing the 3rd party is out are whatever listing fees they have to pay to Sears, and those fees are probably contingent upon the sale. So if no one bites, they are out nothing but if someone is dumb enough to buy it, they get the markup less the fees. What I thought was interesting was they are selling two albums that Dan made under assumed names: www.sears.com/search=emotiva&Sears?filter=storeOrigin&storeId=10153&catalogId=12605&levels=TVs%20%26%20Electronics&searsTab=true

I just hope some poor sap doesn't buy from them and then discover the Emotiva website. If you do not know the real price then you don't know you are being ripped off.

Price seems about right for a product sold at a retail store. There is a little chance anybody is going to a Sears webstore to purchase an amp. I would assume if folks know about Emotivaa they also know that is an internet direct item. Nevertheless, is very alarming.....

I'm an optimist. At least it wasn't Walmart.

While I find the prices deplorable, anyone willing to pay those prices for Emotiva gear without doing to least bit of research (i.e. typing www.emotiva.com in a web browser) deserves to pay those prices.

That sears sells gear for how much they are worth not how much it actually costs. Which in this case happens to be quite a lot more than how much they cost.
