I have a Salamander Design Sonama cabinet similar to the ones you are looking at. One thing that surprised me was that it was delivered as a pile of parts and i had to assemble. It is a metal internal frame with wood panels screwed in on all faces. I'm not saying it is good or bad, just it was something i didn't realize. I'd check with your dealer and see if they can assemble because we were moving into our house also and I wasn't in the mood to assemble,
It is a really nice piece just understand that it is a bit of work.
Also please note that those bays are not open to each other. Internal to the unit there is a wire opening between Left/Center/Right. Any interconnects between bays will have to be long enough to go down to the bottom and then across. The Synergy collection is open between bays (i have one of those too).
I din't want to give the impression that i don't like the Salamander Designs furniture. I do really like it and would buy again.
Personally i prefer the style of the Corsica that you are looking at.

Sold BDI allot, and it went together well for me, my customers. Salamander I did a few special orders for, and they were nice quality furniture too. I probably have a Bias toward BDI because of my experience with them however.

I have a custom Billy Bags cabinet that I love. Sadly this company is now out of business. Between the 3 selections you have I like the BDI ALOT. I am not familiar with the brand but it looks different from the norm that we all see.
The first picture is a Billy Bags stand with one of my systems. The last picture I posted was a very inexpensive all black shelf system from IKEA that I just added to my audio room for holding a few LPs. The baskets hold DVDs and CDs. It only cost $120 total. It is black with a black glass top .

I love my Salamander Synergy cabinets they're sturdy and durable I've owned them over a decade and still look in great shape. Sure there are some ding here and there, I've dropped heavy Center Channel cradle, and other things and never really ruined the actual wood only indentation that adds character to it..LOl I can buy separate pieces to replace the dented panels but I'm good.
I've had a few cable guys ask me about it, name and model but shy away when they find the price of it, I think it was very worth the cost as it's been sold product for over 10 years.
Both company make gorgeous units, I'm sure you can't go wrong with either one.

Make sure you check the depth of the cabinet for your Emotiva amps. All of these stands are designed for wire management, but some are better than others. I would have a hard time buying a piece like this without getting a good look at it

OMG
This is a bad place to come, after looking at some of those synergy designs you've got me thinking I need a new cabinet now.

Let me add to the chorus of people who are happy with Salamander Designs furniture. Mine is I think the only piece of furniture which survived the Nashville flood. Oh I should replace it as it now sags in the middle and some of the shelves need assistance to get level, but I love it and it was expensive, so it stayed!

I have both BDI and Salamander. Both very good. I looked at corridor but ended up with www.bdiusa.com/theater/avion_noir_2_8937.shtml#.VXX9LEb3ZR4Corridor has one long fixed shelf on top. That left 8.6 inches for left and right bottom compartments which wasn't enough for my amps. I took back panels off because I needed extra depth . Both BDI and Salamander allow the removal of back panel Make sure you check all specs. carefully. Wheels work great on BDI. I like the 28" height of the Corridor vs. 22.5 with the other. Quality on both are top notch. Wheels are a god send. . Good luck. Measure twice. Buy once

One other you can look at is a company called Standout designs www.standoutdesigns.com/They are in Pennsylvania and I was impressed by the build quality (all wood). I almost bought a Salamander until I found this place. Wheels are a must. I'm glad I got them as well.

I think the Salamander Corsica was the best choice.

Congrats. Good choice. I have the Synergy 237. If you saved 5 bills , that's a sweet deal. If it's built already even better . Mine was more difficult to put together then the BDI I also have a Achetype 5 shelf rack from Salamander . . ( I use it as a valet ) Everything from them is well made . Full it up with Emo gear and you will be very happy for years to come
