Mini X Connection to Preamp question

Well I screwed up when i bought my new XPA-3 and my Marantz AV7701 preamp thinking the Ext-in on my Denon 3802 (circa 2002) would let me run my 3 surround channels by using the pre-outs from the 7701. So far i cant get it to work and that's probably because in 2002 some dvd players did the decoding for you and the ext-in is where you hooked them up.

So i was looking at using the Mini X to power them, but i don't know if hooking the unbalanced pre-out from my 7701 will work when connected to the line input on the Mini.

Will the Mini X accept the input from the unbalanced pre-out of my 7701?

Update: Emotiva support advised it will work, so I recently purchased the Mini and set it up with AV7701. Still messing with the volume settings in Audessy but it's definateley working.
