Had same issues with my PS3....finally gave up and got a PS4.
Can not get surround sound to work with DVD/BlueRays.
Most encouraging thing is when PS4 boots up, 7.1 shows up onscreen from the Fusion 8100.....couldn't get that from PS3.
Game downloading now, will see if 5.1 or 7.1 works during game play.
Tried DVD and BlueRay with no luck....Fusion8100 flashes 3/2 as a audio setting.
Using HDMI, not Tosklink.
Anyone have a template for correct PS4/Fusion8100 settings???

I feel like I saw this before on the forums...but I'm not sure - I'm a bit distracted at the moment.
Have you tried to see if using just the Tosslink works?

is youre output on the 8100 set to amp or hdmi

3/2/LFE means 3 main speakers (L/C/R), 2 surround (LS/RS) and LFE (Sub). That means a 5.1 signal is being received and processed.
