Got home from vacation Wed. Nite, turned things on to watch a little TV and decompress from the travel. Everything came on as it should, but nothing from the speakers. Tried messing around a bit and the audio finally kicked on. Pretty tired so I didn't worry too much about it.
Thursday morning wake wake up turn things on, same; no audio. Go through the same, basically turning things on and off, check settings, etc. finally the audio kicks in. I called Emotiva yesterday, gave me a few ideas, plugged iPhone into amp, audio came out over speakers. Other option was to go to menu and restore defaults.
Same experience this morning, turn things on, no audio. So, after numerous power cycles, I try the restore defaults method. Still no audio, no error messages, nothing to indicate a problem. Now I am back to calling Emo today. Does anyone have any experience with this happening? The unit is less than 1.5 yrs old, still under warranty.

Good thing it is still under warranty vs the 90 days to one year of other products. Get an RMA.
BTW any reports of lighting in your area while you were gone? Can't rule anything out especially if over a short period of time random components start acting up.

There was plenty of rain while I was gone, but the power never flashed off. I have a cigar humidor that is very sensitive to power outages, and it was humming right along when we got home.

I'd suggest trying as minimal a set up to test if it's the UMC-200 itself or some source or cabling issue. For testing I plug an iPhone in and a pair of headphones, nothing else. That pretty much isolates any possible issue to inside the UMC-200. It sounds like a power supply issue, they do the work sometimes not work other times thing, until they eventually don't work all the time. At 1.5 years it might have an earlier power supply, later power supplies don't seem to have any issues. So if it does in fact need replacing, an easy job BTW, you'll end up with the later spec. But I'd try the minimalist test before sending the UMC-200 back for service.
Cheers Gary

Gary, per instruction from tech support, I did try the iPhone connected to my amp, and that produced sound. I also connected earbuds to the headphone jack...nothing but silence. My most recent talk with tech support has them sending me information to test a certain 5v power supply? on one of the boards. If that is good, the next suggestion was to try and re-flash the firmware. Currently I am running version .47 on it, which I believe is the most current version. Waiting on those instructions to arrive at my inbox.
The unit itself seems to power up properly and displays no error message, but for whatever reason, the audio signal isn't being sent from the UMC to the amp.

Hi jbruno just wondering if you ever resolved the problem with your UMC-200. I have been having the same exact problem which appears to be getting worse. Thanks Mark
