There have been design involvements over the last 40 years since the JBL L100 was sold. Namely better cabinet construction, line array designed speakers , improved woofer and tweeter performance. Find a dealer that will let you demo speakers in your home. I think you will be surprised Your upstream electronics are good. In fact VERY GOOD. I think the biggest improvement you would hear would be imaging and clarity on the highs

I guess I should clarify I am using the XPR-2's with B&W CM 10'S. would the XPA-1 make much of a difference? What we're trying to say is there may be a difference, could be worse/could be better, but if there is a difference that difference will be very small -> especially for the $$ it will cost you. Speakers make the biggest difference in a setup so you are better off using the $$ and getting better speakers. Not implying your current speakers are bad, rather speakers are where you are better off spending a chunk of change since the XPR-2 (as are XPA-1's) is very close to the top of the heap performance-wise.
