I went to visit a very dear friend of mine that now resides in the Alexandria VA Hospital in Louisiana USA.
A true follower of Jesus Christ and wonderful man, father and friend! i drove him to work daily and we talked and told stories of fond memories of days gone past. He always had a kind word about everyone that he has ever met, Any request of him was met with sheer joy to help friend and stranger.
I had put off visiting him because the prognosis was not favorable, I couldn't bear to see another of my dear friends move on to meet our maker, I am ashamed I did not visit sooner. We had spoken on the phone ,,,,,but we all know , that's not the same. He no longer knows me,,,,,,and I cry,,,,,,,,,tears of sorrow, things we had planned, holidays we've shared, what a short time we get to serve each other, fleeting moments need to be savored.
while in life I had thanked him for his service to our country ,for the friendship that we shared, time together well spent. Please cherish all of our/your friends family and especially those that have unselfishly served The United States of America or you country, wherever you may be. Especially on this, our Independence Day weekend.
Thank you to everyone on this forum that is my friend and a very special Thank You to those that have served and are serving our country to preserve our constitution and protect our countrymen.
Please pray for these servants. God, please bless us all.
