Be very careful! The B+ plate voltage can be very dangerous - 300+ volts. Two big rules when opening this type of chassis - take off all rings and only use one hand - left to right hand goes right through the old ticker!

Chuck is right. These amps have lethal voltages inside.
Keep one hand in your pocket when probing and measuring!
Better yet, call for service.!

Chuck is right. These amps have lethal voltages inside. Keep one hand in your pocket when probing and measuring! Better yet, call for service.! Thank you Big Dan and everybody for the valuable input and the warning. It will cost a lot to send It to Hong Kong and back, just to have may be a fuse replaced ! I have no experience with this kind of stuff, so beside changing tubes I am not touching it or opening it. I have no desire to be electrocuted. I have bought a smaller tube amp from same company and it works like a champ, I just don't know what went wrong may be during the shipping ? As it is brand new I was wondering if someone at Emotiva can take a look at it and may be fix it, for a fee of course, if I ship it to Franklin, TN from TX. Ty'all

Have you done a internet search for a tech in your area that services tube equipment? Do a search for antique radio repair. I've used The Radio Doctor in Clermont FL, good guy. WWW.flradiodoc.com

You're skating on thin ice when you buy an amp directly from China.

Ty guys. actually I will be Fedexing it tomorrow to our own Audiobill to fix it. He's a lounge member.
Like lynnmass603 said I also feel it is an input problem, like a cold solder on rca.
I have bought previously chineses amplifiers tube, and that's the first time I have a problem. I'll update u on the outcome.

Updated status.
Well, I sent the Amplifier to Audiobill, he received it, and it was minor wire disconnected and one of the four KT-88 tubes had malfunctioned..
He fixed it, and will be replacing all KT-88 tubes and biasing the amplifier, and sending it back to me.
He seemed to really enjoy the sound coming out of it as he indicated in his email !!!,..I am very excited and can't wait to hear it for myself..
Can't thank Bill enough....

Glad to see you guys were able to find and fix the problem. Of the four pieces of Chinese tube gear I own I have only had one issue. When I received my Yaqin tube integrated amp the first time I installed the tubes I mistakenly installed one of the EL-34 power tubes incorrectly. Needless to say that channel had no sound. I simply unpluged the unit removed and reinstalled the tube with the correct orientation. When I pluged the unit back up I still had no sound coming from that channel. I unpluged it again and changed the fuse for that channel and everything was fine. I checked the bias made some minor adjustments It's been a jewel. Please let us know what you think after you have a little time with the amp.j
