Hi Everyone!
I'm building a new addition at my bakery and it will include a new office for me. :-)
The room will only be roughly 14' X 14'.
I'm just looking for something a little better then your average desktop computer speakers.
I'm trying to decide on if i should just get the Airmotiv 3B's and be done with it? ( I really like the bluetooth feature, as i would like to stream my pandora to it from my iphone)
OR
Should i go for something a bit bigger like the Airmotiv 4s/5s 's? To my understanding these two are NOT bluetooth and would need some additional hardware to stream my pandora account to from my iphone? If that is correct, what gadget would i need for this?
I'd like to keep this under project under $500 as it will mainly be used for some background music and some easy listening. If i want to make my walls shake , i'll wait till i get home. :-)
This is my first office setup, so any additional help or ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks everyone!

If you're just looking for "something that is just a little better then your average desktop computer speakers" then the 3Bs would be fine.
The airmotivs are a superior speaker in terms of a sound quality though.

Can you stream pandora from your computer? That way you can use a quality DAC (a small Ego would be ideal) to connec to Airmotive 4's. That would give much better sound than Bluetooth. If the Ego plus Airmotive 4's is over budget then Ego plus Airmotive 3B's would be OK. I'd avoid the Bluetooth and the inbuilt computer DAC if possible, I suspect that's more important for sound quality than the difference between the 3B's and the 4's.
Cheers Gary

I'm looking at getting one of each, plus a pair of 3B's for a friend of mine, combined freight of small things is a big advantage. Cheers Gary

Ordered the 4S's! So again, what would the best method be to stream Pandora through these speakers? DAC? Thoughts? An XDA-1 or XDA-2 would be a good option, but for a smaller footprint I would grab these two items from Schiit Audio Modi 2 DAC for $99and SYS Analog volume control for $49For $150 would be a great DAC/Volume Control for those 4s monitors, I use the Modi DAC for all my 2 channel listening and love it. You can see here they have them setup with the Airmotiv 4 speakers for that exact configuration Hope that helps, Chad

For my home office system with Airmotive 4's I'll be upgrading to a BigEgo shortly, the ability to control the volume via analogue plus the DAC quality is killer for the price.
Cheers Gary

An audioquest dragonfly is a really fantastic DAC for it and cheap. The Emotiva Big Ego also seems like a good idea. Dirt cheap is the $30 behringer UCA 202. Simple and effective. You will need to control the volume from the computer though using your keyboard ....There is also a way to get the volume control shortcut to appear on your desktop or taskbar so that you can just click it and control it. However the easiest one is having a keyboard with the volume up and down buttons - usually about $10. Or you can get an Emotiva control freak or the schiit sys.
