it's not too late to correct this thread- most important thing for main speakers is the level of the center of the tweeters in relation to the listeners ear. my new setup has the center of the tweeters 39" off the floor. which, according to my height when sitting, is at ear level.

My floor standing B&W CM10s are 42.8 inches tall (the last three inches are the tweeter assembly), This is very close to ear level depending on the chair and height of the person

Soooo do you want to know how tall are the speakers or do you also want to know the tweeter height, frequency, tweeter size, number of drivers, banana or spade plugs, toe in, tilt back, woofer size, speaker distance......blah, blah, blah...

It ranks right up there with do you put your toilet paper and paper towels in the holder so the paper comes over the top or under the bottom. And if so, how many sheets are hanging down when not in use.

Height does matter. My first speaker stands had the top of my speakers at 38". I changed to my current stands which have the top at 45" the change in height was immediately noticeable. The speakers seemed to open up more and the sound stage and imaging improved. I'm really glad I changed stands. An added plus the new stands are adjustable currently on the lowest height. I have experimented with them set higher, they seem ideal right at 45" floor to the top of the speaker.

My stands are 28" which puts the center of my tweeter at 44", right at "sitting" ear level.
