The left channel of one of my 3 xpa 2 amps sometimes does not work. It works when the receiver is turned on and after a few minutes of listening it just dies. Then I turn off the amp and turn it back on to make it work again. How do I fix this problem?

First make sure it is the amp and not the cable or source - switch the left and right inputs and see if it stays with the same channel. Then switch the speaker outputs to see if it stays with the same channel rather than it being the speaker. If it still seems to be the amp then best thing is to call Emo and ask them.

When it dies do you hear a click sound and then the light turns red? Other than your RCA/XLR cable it could also be your speaker cable accidentally shorting with another one. A stray wire could do it. It could happen on both the amp binding post OR on the speaker side binding posts.

Check your rca cables. Even new ones can be the problem. My left channel also had a problem on my xpa-2 gen 2 and my new gold plated cables where the problem. Switched to one of those standard ones that comes with electronics you buy with a thin black cord and now it all works just fine. The problem seemed to be that the gold plated ones had a connector that is rock solid and a bit too big whereas the cheap "crappy" ones fit more snug but the housing of the connector flexes somewhat making a snug fit.
