tested using mac mini->big ego->Stealth 6 /or airmotiv 6
I've had both speakers for awhile now. The airmotiv 6 sounds amazing. But the stealth 6 does sound better to my ears. I switched back and forth between songs, from a variety of sources. I found that the stealth 6 is more everything, including accuracy. The bass is more tight, and the soundstage sounds more realistic and 3 dimensional. Its a step above the airmotiv. The airmotiv strains ever so slightly, whereas the stealth 6 playbacks effortlessly.
So to me, the stealth 6 is the clear winner.

I wanted to add that with the stealth speakers there was a lot more "whoa, that sounded realistic" moments. Imagine Keanu Reeves saying "whoa" is how I felt.
The stealth is less forgiving on the highs.the airmotiv seems to smooth out the highs in a pleasant way.

I liken the Stealth 6 to a great fast, great focusing lens at almost any aperture. You just plain see....uh er...hear more. The Airmotiv 6 or 6s is still I think light years ahead of many other Monitors you can get for the same money, or more. The Airmotiv is like a lens that lets a little less light in, has a hair of vignetting, but that is it. In other words, just a bit less revealing than the Stealth 6. I have both too.
I like them both much. The Stealths just show you a bit more of why you are playing that favorite song, or favorite video presentation.

the instrument separation is crazy good. It's because of how good the big ego with stealth 6 is, that have Tidal.

I play my airmotiv 6s thru stealth dc-1 and Sonos,..sounds incredible,.. I have not heard the stealth 6's and can't imagine it being much better,.. thanks for the review.

I noticed that the Stealth 6 has been missing from the wed site for a long time. Does anyone know if it will be back. Usually if out of stock the site will say so and even sometimes say when they will next be shipping. This seems to be like the Fusion Receiver and just vanished.

I heard they have been discontinued but a replacement was supposed to be in the works, why they wouldn't have the next model ready at or shortly after discontinuing the Stealth 6 I'm not sure but oh well, if you are looking for some there is a member here selling three of them. |

It is my understanding that the Stealth 6's were not as popular as the 8's because most customers interested in the Stealths opted for the 8's. That was the case with me also.
