Looking to buy a small subwoofer to replace my SVS PB13 I recently sold. I needed to open some space. The ones I am contemplating are below. Anyone heard them and have an opinion? Sunfire HRS 10, 12, XTEQ 10, 12 Definitive Technology 4000,6000,8000

Have you ever compared their HRS vs XTEQ lines?

JL I have always been impressed by, REL never heard one that sounded good to me lol. I pretty much want to stay with one of these 2 options though as my captain is a dealer so I can get them for cost from him where the other brands would most likely only be about 20% off. Plus I am trying to downsize the physical size from the SVS Pb-13 I just sold.

I love my SB-13 in my one bedroom apartment, and we aren't talking too much space here too.

Not wanting any measurement over 16". This is a 10x10 room so it shouldn't take much. The spot I am wanting to put it has a max clearance of 16"
The SB-2000 could work though.

Actually with the Isolator feet, and my use judicially, I have no problems. I just can't go ape you know what on level etc. However, neither can my neighbors. Is that Audio Detente'?

I've owned Def-Tech before. Despite their fudging their specs to the point of painful incredulity, they DO go low & sound good. Sunfire is also good, but from what I've read they do best with a crossover point well below 50 Hz. In other words, they're true SUB woofers (at their best from 15 to 45 Hz) and NOT woofers (like my PowerSound Audio XV-15s) which are happy to cross over up to about 100 Hz. When I had them, I crossed over my DefTech subs at 80 Hz, and they blended fine. That said, I wouldn't necessarily have tried to match them with a "fast" speaker like a Magneplanar...
Happy shopping.

Don't worry it won't go near the Magnepans. The Maggie's are in the livingroom the sub will go in the movie room with Energy Veritas in-walls

Do any of you know where the CEA 2010 measurements for the Sunfire XTEQ 12 are?
