Nick your awesome dude for thinking about me but I am so remote and removed from the web I can not even respond. A friend sent me Text saying you you were looking for me and I promise you my friend I will get back to you and the lounge soon. Pink Floyd could not dream it and Bad Company could not say it is all I got to say ! π I need to read up on everything but I hope all is well with everyone. I miss you guys ! Good to see you - I've been wondering how you are. I look forward to hearing about your journey once you get back! Mark Mark I live on a 1992 Catalina 34 Sloop in Boot Key Harbor Marathon Fl. I have both ears pierced and make jewelry as a hobby I hang out on Sombrero Beach most days. I have sailed to the Dry Tortugas twice with a Gentleman and his Wife who study sharks and has Master Scuba Diver rating. He certified me and now I know how Chuck Elliott felt when he talked about his dives. It is awesome! The sharks scared the crap out of me. π Here's the deal , I am typing this on my phone and no longer give a crap about audio gear. I will not be hanging out here and do not belong here. Hey ChuckieNut stay nutty dude ! I have been reading a little here and see everyone still at it. I don't see Hemster but LC got him a good display. Mark you and Bootman keep them on there toes. HDMI 3.0 and 8k just around the corner. Nick I would like to visit you Gar and Boom sometime on my boat. Sorry no pics and right now I don't even see how to post pics with my phone. Maybe later. This one post has taken about an hour to make. I don't even look at my phone for weeks sometimes. My USP1 UPA2 and ERC1 were the finest sounding gear I ever heard and unless you got a Japanese made Set amp that cost a small fortune and a pair of speakers that are a match made in heaven that cost even more to go with it , like David, I have never believed you guys when you say you hear difference in modern SS amplifiers. Arrgh!, See Ya Chum! π

When someone says this is special and needs special care but does not leave specifications to complete the task. Ever wonder why things go wrong? This is it. If it is special. Treat as such. I have no mercy for your lack specs and detail. Incompetence has no place in something special.

Sure enough that one omitted detail caught me but my friend Trevor helped me save the day. Crazy. Manager broke it. We fixed it.

So much fun cleaning the clocks of YouTube reviewers. One guy was reviewing a camera and whined, so I served. Edited so mods don't blast me. Lets see, DFD is sheeet! Panasonic did this to probably stop banding issues shooting way too low in exposure. Nikon has the Banding issue. Well, stop underexposing and shoot right. Problem here??? Nope. Panasonic even on the S1 family is even DFD, utter bullshooot. Sony and Canon are killing on AF. I played around with the Sony a7 mk.3. Holy cow!! Dead on the marks every time. It was just so scary good that AF. I hate to tell if it is mission critical, manual focus only. Oh oh, the GH5 is still a beeetchin' ride. You get pro audio, you get awesome support. The GH5 isn't dead, and I still love and revere and want one. BS about the small sensor. Get a speed booster for pete sakes. Also get your light right and stop whining. Panasonic and Olympus own IBIS. I own a Canon SL-2 it has the battery and SD card on the bottom. I just use a Tripod mount that lets me use the battery door and get to my battery and SD card. Also if you are vlogging you can use a Lav mic like you should anyway and record to an external SD recorder like even The Everyday Dad does. Guy makes me laugh. There are work arounds on anything. Whiners are not around me because anyone can throw more money at a feature. Or you can use what you have like an external pocket recorder from Zoom, Tascam, and Lav Mic, or other mics. Call it a day. Any system works. So stop whining about what it doesn't give you and fix it!ο»Ώ

I don't like connections coming out of the side of my components - makes cabling awkward!

Serious question, and not trying to stir any pot with this. Now that ToneWinner is selling here in North America and offers very similar products to our very own Emotiva, is there any kind of competitiveness between the two companies? www.summithifi.com/collections/tonewinner-audioI don't see anything mentioned as far as warranty but they do offer a 45 day free in home trial. The prices (at least on sale) seem to be pretty darn good. I believe Summit Hifi was once an Emotiva partner as well.

Wow never heard of these, but man their 5 and 7 channel amps look just like my MPS-1 from the rear. I wonder if they are using the same amp modules. Mark

The Emotiva modules had to be some sort of proprietary design. There could definitely be similarities but certainly not the same. Those prices are Canadian pesoβs as well. Could be a helluva deal. Could be a boat anchor. teaman I nominate you to be the guinea pig.

I already have an extra XPA-2 sitting idle, plus just sold another. As for the similarities, if you look closely enough there are plenty. Seeing that ToneWinner built amps for Emotiva for years I would guess they are the same. There are also several AVR's and Integrated Amps in their line up which I think makes a lot of sense.

You guys missed the MOST important attribute! π²π It has been a while that we in the forum have voiced out that we would love to see some meters. When I came across these that was the first thing I noticed. There are several YouTube videos of these amps in action from Summit, they look even better in action.
