Stealth 8 vs Polk Rti a9 (cross over modded)

Hello Folks.

I might as well tatoo "emotiva" on my chest.

I've been thinking about my Polk speakers. I've modded all the cross overs on my center and fronts. It really brings it to another level. BUT!

I'm thinking of changing them ALL to Stealth 8 and sell off the xpa amps. The Stealth 8 tweeters seems pretty magical!

I got the Airmotiv 6s for my desktop and I love it.

I'm still breaking them in, but the detail is just unmatched.

The only reason I didn't get stealth 8 for my desktop is because Stealth 8 should be place 6-10ft away from me (told my a helpful Emotiva rep on the phone)

This makes me wonder, why go through all the trouble of Amps if the powered speakers are so amazing?

I have room for tower speakers for now, I don't know if i have the same amount of space for my next place. So the small size for the fronts is definitely welcomed.

Any suggestions?

Try the airmotivs in your main system, it'll give you a better idea how the stealths would sound in there.
