Thank you so very much for all this work, its much appreciated. I may have missed this and pray for my Mrs sake that it can be done. Is there a way to have the " All Off " button on the top left of my Harmony 700 remote to turn everything off, including the XMC-1? This is a deal breaker for the Mrs and she so loves the system but wont touch it unless this is remedied. Thanks so much! Help me Obi One The "All Off" button on my Harmony 650 works just like you are asking in my setup. Just make sure you set it up as an activity in the "My Harmony" app and you should be good to go.

The 700 is different than the 650, i dont think i can set it up as an activity, its a default button without and controll of it, as far as i can tell. I haven't been able to isolate that button.

I just figured since the 700 uses the same "My Harmony" app that it would also have that capability. Being new to the Harmony remotes, I'm still getting acquainted with them. Maybe someone more experienced with them will chime in shortly.

If your remote uses the newer MyHarmony software I think it should be as geebo describes it. If it uses the older 'Harmony' software, there may still be a way, I just don't have a copy to check right now (maybe over the weekend). The other option is trying my first suggestion which is to tell Harmony your XMC uses 1 button for power (devices, power options). Edit: I'm assuming it worked before you loaded the new command set?

But the Mrs still wont use " The System " till this little hick-up is fixed. I know it will be now that these brilliant minds are on it. Thanks all, Ill try again this weekend, its late, my brain hurts and i need sleep! thx!

Ans this is from the top of page two in the manual linked below. "The All Off button turns off all the devices in the current Activity." www.logitech.com/assets/44637/3/harmony700-user-guide.pdf I had a 700 and know it will shut everything down. If using the new command set for the XMC you will have to "Fix" the Power Off" command or as AudioHTIT said reconfigure the device to use a Power Toggle instead. With the old command set the power down sequence should work fine but proper input selection can be finicky.

This is great!
However, I think I will wait for the data set to be revised to include the correct codes for the discrete "Power Off" command rather than try to fudge it with the teaching method (Partly also because my Emotiva remote is in the attic in the XMC box, unused, because I have always used my harmony One)

I'm going to document in this post the codes that don't work in the new set, so that we can try to get a fix from Emo and send them to Harmony (my ticket is currently still open, but I know they'll try to close it soon). I have experienced the following problems, if you have others, or dispute any of these commands, please post your discrepancies. I will update this post as any changes are confirmed.
The following codes in the new command set have not worked in testing: Main Power Off Zone 2 Power Off Zone 2 Power On Zone 2 Mute On

On the other had, there's the possibility we won't get the new codes anytime soon. Fixing the problem only takes a few minutes, but I also have an attic full of boxes, and understand your reluctance.

If I press mute once, the display goes to -95dB. Then when I hit volume up it increases but it starts at -95. If I hit Mute twice it goes to and stays at -95 but then when I adjust volume up it starts at whatever the setting was at before I hit mute. Other than that, the controls seem to be working for me.

That's interesting, not what I found with my Harmony 700 test. This is with your Ultimate and the new Zone 2 Device from Harmony? I will try again today. One thing confusing is that the Mute commands are called On/Off, to me this means On = no sound, Off = sound; it shouldn't matter how many times you hit mute on, there should be no sound. Mute toggle is obviously different. Volume overriding mute seems normal, and probably what I'd expect. In my tests when I hit Z2 Mute On, Zone 2 stopped working. I'll try again, though Keith already acknowledged some Z2 problems.

It must be a Mute On because it never unmutes until I adjust the volume but it does behave differently if I hit mute once or twice. I used the Power buttons that Logitech put on the Ultimate's touch screen. I programmed or assigned nothing at all for Zone 2.

Ok, I think I've discovered the discrepancy between geebo's experience and mine. The Zone 2 Mute On & Off commands are not in the new XMC-1 (Zone 2) Device are in the Harmony database. I never loaded the 'old' Z2 Device so I don't know if it's any different, but this one has discrete inputs so I think it's new. Maybe they recognized that the commands were bad? So geebo is testing the Z2 Mute toggle function, which we now know continues to work. I still haven't tested any Zone 2 commands, I'm just comparing the original code file with what's in the new Harmony Z2 device. Edit: Hadn't read your latest post when I wrote this, edit, sounds like 'Mute' may be mute on.

If I have the volume at -50 and hit mute once, when I hit volume up is starts at -95 If I have the volume at -50 and hit mute twice, when I hit volume up is starts at -50

Now that I think of it, It may in fact be a Mute Toggle. That would explain the behavior I noted above. I don't actually have Zone 2 connected so I'm only going by the display. I'm not getting any audio confirmation because again, no connection to Zone 2. But it's still odd that every time I hit Mute, one, two, three or more times, the display always reads -95 every time.
All Inputs on the Ultimate's touch screen seem to function correctly.

I'm hoping to get to some actual testing today (playing with a new humidifier for my guitars), I'll try Zone 2 with some actual output. That -95 stuff was what I noticed too.
