Is input switching an issue for anyone? In 2-years of XMC-1 ownership (or whenever it came out), I've never been able to switch inputs with my (harmony) remote. I now have the Harmony Home control version. I just deleted my devices and activities last week and that didn't help (and now all my buttons are different than what they were but don't remember what they were). My only inputs are really HDMI.
Pushing HDMI 1,2,3,4, etc from my remote or from my phone app doesn't do anything, programming other buttons to be HDMI 1,2,3,4 so I can change them in an activity do nothing. I can go into the phone app and select input 1,2,3 and that works but I never use my phone as a remote and that input is not available on the software for the physical remote. And though the remote software shows 3+ columns of physical inputs, ARC is not one of them either (or input 1,2,3,4).
My next plan was to manually teach the remote what the input 1, 2,3,4 and ARC commands are but I haven't even looked to see if that's an option yet and I just don't have time to do it. It's very frustrating. I've actually just turned off the whole XMC-1 off and watched something on my laptop since it was easier.

I've got the touchscreen remote with the hub and it changes inputs with no problems.

I just tell Alexa to turn on (whatever Function I like) and it all powers up. Done! Even controls volume? The Echo can be turned off she its not listening. Pretty cool stuff!

Ok, what am I missing that I don't see input1,2,3 or ARC has available inputs when setting up the remote?

I wish Emotiva would publish complete infrared hex codes for the XSP-1.
I haven't found any source yet for discrete codes for ON/OFF, HT BYPASS, DIRECT and PROCESSOR LOOP they only have toggle codes. I have discrete codes for everything else in my system just not the XSP-1.
I use an URC MX-890 remote so I could add the IR codes to my own programming software if only the infrared hex codes were published.
It's far nicer having discrete codes rather than just toggle codes.

I've got Input1, Input2, Input3, and Input Arc. I did nothing special. Just added the XMC-1 with the iOS wizard.

Along with the installation of La Credenza (and tearing out my old cabinets) I’m doing a major revamp of my system, the centerpiece is a new Sony UHD TV which allows IP control. Because of this I’m considering deleting many of my Harmony activities and devices, re-adding the Devices from the Logitech database, and rebuilding the Activities. Having followed an AVS thread on the Sony I know the Device definition will include IP control, my Hopper 3 reports it has IP control but I’ve never confirmed it’s being used. Now I’m focused on other devices that have IP capabilities, but may not be enabled in the Logitech database, the XMC-1 obviously comes to mind. Years ago when I started this thread I had just spent quite a lot of time working with Emotiva and Logitech to get the expanded IR control set added to the XMC-1’s definition — I don’t suppose this has already been done for IP and I just missed it? I’m assuming the answer is no, and I’m planning on opening a ticket with Logitech to have the IP control codes added for the XMC-1. Currently I’m only aware of the IP codes I linked at the beginning of this thread and will start there, but maybe there’s a newer file I should get ahold of? KeithL , any changes you’re aware of? I worked with Joe on the IR codes, are the links and files still the most recent? If anyone has input or suggestions here I welcome your thoughts. I’m hoping because this is the second time it will go more smoothly, but I imagine there could be standards issues with how the protocol is implemented by each manufacturer (I’ve heard Oppo has been difficult, anyone know if the 203 has been successfully IP controlled by Harmony?). I assume there will be updates when the Atmos board is released and new modes are necessary, but I’m starting now anyway. —Bruce

I bought a small tablet a few years ago with the intention of using irule as the command set to control my different HT equipment. At that time they had a database and i believe the XMC-1 was in there. I managed to get quite a bit accomplished but trying to us ip with ir is really painful and i finally threw in the towel. Anyway check out their site and you may find what you need.

I have a buddy who uses iRule and does pretty well with it, actually going there tomorrow for a BBQ so I’ll get to see if he’s doing anything new. I already have the IP command specs Emotiva posted a few years back, I’ve just not tried having Logitech add IP to a device before, hopefully it will go smoothly. The point here is to try and get rid of the need for IR (as much as possible). The Harmony immediately used IP with my new Sony TV, after 10 years of IP control being around you’d think more products would work that way.

Markus This is the post I was referring to, the links to the IP and the IR docs still work (I also link them in the first post in this thread) emotivalounge.proboards.com/post/759343/thread

I haven't had any issues with the XMC-1 and my Harmony 650. All activities switch fine.
