Ok here's what im looking for , suggestions for wall art for the room i built to house the Mcintosh XR-290 line arrays with Emotiva gear at our summer house , the audio & ht rooms are the only rooms im allowed to decorate & i do not like off the shelf wall art , i prefer to use pics i really like & have Kinkos blow them up to the size i need , or have Kinkos print the pic out using water colors on canvas , i then have the finished product set on a backer board of accoustical board then framed , i'll post examples of finished products in another post as to do so i have to use the site app which isnt all that snazy on my phone .
I like wild pics , pics of music related items , very colorfull pics ect so if you have seen any pics on the www you think would look awesome or strange when blew up & framed please post the pics here & help me decorate my Emotiva room , thanks .
Im looking to frame two 3ft high x 5ft long pics & three 3ft wide x 4-5ft high pics to finish decorating the listening room , examples to follow .

Here is an example of what they enlarge & print out using poster paper , it's backed to an acoustical board then framed with a glass face , this is at our house in the city & an example of what they have made for me in the past in the 3 ft x 5 ft range . Here is a pic I really like & am going to have blown up into a 3 x 5 water color on canvas then have mounted & framed .

I would decorate the room with acoustic treatments. Well thats the idea im running with , the pics kinkos can print out on canvas to look exactly like a hand painted water color painting in any size you want, then that gets mounted on an accoustic panel & framed , the standard tan panels are very bland imo so i try to make wall treatments into art , kinkos has made 7 panels for my other rooms using accoustic panels & most people just think they are cool looking pictures .

Thats exactly what my end result ends up being , same panels & custom art only done local by kinkos printing the canvas & the frame shop mounting the art on the panel & building custom frames around the finished panel, its about twice as much per panel but imo looks much better . I know where to get panels i was kinda hoping for cool audio related pics to have kinkos print into canvas .

Okay, since I'm the resident Led Zeppelin guy, and you say you like colorful, here's some Zep related ones. A cool print of the New York Physical Graffiti buildings From the 02 Show in 1997 Infamous Knebworth 79 field shoot Then there are these Murry Eisner prints. Years ago I found them in very hi-rez and made my own "free" box signs. They hang in my main room above my Panny ZT TV. I really like them. John Paul Jones John Bonham Jimmy Page Robert Plant All 4 on one poster.

Haha i allready have that old Blown Away ! Maxell print on a 5 x 3 panel in our 5 channel room , it was the very 1st print we had made into a panel & it sits directly behind my listening chair, i remember those commercials too with Ride of the Valkerys blasting from the jbl's , probably the most well known image in audio so far .

Well im with you on Zepplin being ive got all their lp's & have never taken them out of rotation , i was lucky enough to see them at cobo hall in 1973 where they improvised dazed & confused for about 45 minutes & ended up being bootleged into Detroit Rock City . The Led Zepplin zepplin will end up someplace in the emo 2 channel room but i havent decided between the rear wall or havimg it mounted on the cloud i ordered for the ceiling .

Super lucky you. I was born and raised in Rochester Michigan about 20 miles North of Detroit. Unfortunately I was only 3 for that Cobo Hall show, and only 7 for the infamous Silverdome record setting show in 1977. We lived about 10 minutes from the Silverdome but didn't even know who Zeppelin was until I was about 12. I have a very listenable bootleg of the show though. Crazy Detroit crowds with their fire crackers. It's known that full pro-shot video was taken for the big screen behind the band. It's rumored to still exist. Maybe one day it will see the light of day. Good luck with your room. Cheers ---- Bonzo

Silverdome is worse than you last saw. Give it a google. It's quite unbelievable really. There is a video guys took and even the electronics in the booths and stuff are still in there. It's a bit like watching Walking Dead or something, like everyone just had to leave in a big hurry. Crazy. I used to be on a summer swim team when I was a kid and Surf Club over in the Bloomfield Hills area was always our biggest challenge.

I have the cover from Jethro Tull's Songs from the Wood album with all text PhotoShopped off... Makes a GREAT audio room hanging @ 24x24 size Thanks & ill keep that in mind , im trying to get the large areas where the worst reflection points done 1st then run my eq program again & see what i end up with , i know i need a large cloud bad with 27 ft high ceilings i just cant wait for it to arrive , i got the tv for the room today & a new ipad , tv isnt nothing special but at $399.00 for a 55" Vizio led 1080 i couldnt go wrong . The kid at best buy tried selling me an ION turntable & had the balls to say its better than my Nakamichi Dragon table because its usb , i showed him a pic of our Mc tt & he didnt even know wtf it was , i just laughed at him , cheap lil table cant even be tracked in any way , i guess you listen at whatever speed the things feels like operating at lol , then he tried selling me a Samsung soumd bar & at that point i'd had enough & checked out , going to mount the tv sometime this week & wait on the cloud to arrive .
