Hey guys and gals, I'm setting up a new 3.1 system in my extra bedroom. It is only 10x12 max. Speakers are av123 Bigfoot ( w/ upgraded crossovers) and Rocket 850's with a Rhythmik 12 inch servo. This is for home theater use only as I have two other Rigs for Audio all featuring high efficiency speakers with tube amp combos, in other words I prefer warm and non fatiguing sounds. Source: I'm considering as a source a used UMC-200 (PM me if you have one) or a closeout Marantz SR6005 v's a closeout NAD receiver v's Outlaw Receiver. My previous receiver just died (arcam avr 280).
Question: what amp would meet my needs the best at the lowest price point while also not having to worry about upgraditis in 3 months? 1. xpa-1 for the center channel and use the receiver to drive the other two channels? 2. Xpa-3 for all three channels 3. XPA-5 for all three channels plus two more channels if I have a 5.1 in the future (price is quite close to the XPA-3.). How do the Xpa-3 and 5 compare? 4. XPA-200 plus the Xpa-1L for the center? 5. Xpa-200 plus xpa-100.
The combinations are endless.
I'm specifically asking for answers from the following crowd: 1. Owners or prior owners of av123. Not looking for people who "read about them" and/or 2. Emotiva owners who have heard more than one of the above amps and can offer comparisons among the Emotiva lineup.
Thanks in advance for your knowledge. I've owned several Emotiva amps in the distant past with a different set of speakers.

1) That's a bit daft setup 2) I'd do that. 3) You can do that, but how long in the future?

I have the rockets same as yours and I've tried many different Emotiva amp combos over the years. If I had to do it all over again I would buy an XPA-5 and call it a day. To me, on those speakers, the difference from amp to amp was not huge especially for HT duty. Save yourself the trouble and stick with the XPA-5 in case you decide to expand in the future.
