Hey guys, I've asked this elsewhere, but figured I'd also ask here to get some input from some guys that actually use the gear...
I have an XDA-2 that handles all music-audio from my PC. As such right now, I have to have the laptop on the stack, and it's really annoying and inconvenient to have it there. So my solution to this problem is to move the laptop to the back of the room. However, to do that I'll need to push USB over it's spec.
My question is: are the good strategies for running USB this long? I know I can get a signal booster and/or a signal repeater in line, but does anyone know how this will impact the audio going to the XDA-2? Would it be a noticeable difference? Are there certain brands of wires I should look at to accomplish this?
I'm estimating that the line length will be between 12' and 18', and the signal that's been getting sent is 192 KHz at 24 bits.
Thanks all!

At 12 to 18 feet, you may need to boost the signal. Something like this will suffice: >> linky <<. As long as your connections are snug, you shouldn't notice any SQ degradation.
