I have several 4K monitors and get some 4K from NETFLIX. I have plain jane HDMI cables that work fine

Yeah, I read this over the weekend. I am still lost trying to find out if HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.0a is the cable that is HDCP 2.2 ready/compliant. As they say it is not backwards compatible. But I do not want to buy multiple cables just to figure it out...

Kinda like the $7500 power cable... I actually think that's different, because with the über priced cables they try to convince you that you'll hear the difference. With this certification program they're trying to convince you it won't work without it. Certification programs just add unnecessary cost, snake oil separates buyers from large quantities of money.
