Anyone tried out tidal on it? I've been using Tidal since the last beta release for the Oppo 103. It works fine, but you need a tablet/smart phone to control it. The sound is CD quality. Yes, very good sound and works great with my iPad. signed up for the free three month trial.

Only the one month, I thought.

I too had a 105 with issues over long runs and sold it for a 103. The biggest improvement is for movies that have Dolby True HD encoded. As some like the MKV container (which cannot have a TrueHD audio track), it converts to the same lossless audio quality but is seen as LPCM by the AVR (transmitted bitstream over HDMI to the processor). The biggest reason Oppo wants people to convert is that once you upgrade the firmware, you cannot go back! So any hacks you are using with the player become useless.
