Mark search for "Imaginary Cities", they are a band from my hometown, I've seen them live twice now and the wife and I love their albums, they opened for The Pixies when they toured Canada about 5 years back never know you might like them as well Quite good! Thanks for the reco! I bet they were great live. Mark Actually seen them live three times now, last time the guy working the mixing board had the bass up wayyyyy too high and it sounded horrid, my 5 year old daughter sings along when i put them on hahaha

FYI, I sent a request for help with my problem to Sonos, and they contacted me back and asked me to submit a diagnostics report. (The Sonos system runs a diagnostic on your system and send the results back to Sonos.)
I received the following today, so it does appear I have been having some issues with my network that caused my dropouts. Looks like I will have to go into troubleshooting mode to sort it out. It may just be a bad connector or wire. The good news is that last night I listened for a long time with no issues. The bad news is that this means my problem is intermittent. And, intermittent are...a pain...to troubleshoot. And, I have a LOT of cables and connections that could be the problem.
Clearly, since I have no issues with other sources, it must be more critical with Tidal and its bandwidth needs than for my other sources.

That's good support. Could the length of line to your house be suspect?

Try running speedtest.net and see how steady your download graph looks. Bootman here is an expert on all this.

Try running speedtest.net and see how steady your download graph looks. Bootman here is an expert on all this. My speedtest results have been consistently strong (but I will recheck especially I get more drops...). And, TWC had come out for a different problem with a STB and checked my incoming signal...it was fine, and stil they did a little tuning to make it even better. So, I am pretty sure that coming into my house it just fine. But, I do know that at one point, I was using 1 of the ports in my mancave and its signal had been working then all of a sudden it did not. I stopped using it and switched to one of the other 2 ports which were at the time available. Then, at some point in the last year - I started using all 3 ports and all appeared to be working fine...but I have not been using all 3 all the time. One goes to my Oppo, and I am rarely using the internet with it, for example. So, if it was having intermittent issues, I likely would not have noticed. So, it may be that when I set up Tidal, I was using that line that had a known problem before and perhaps its problem was intermittent. And, frankly, I cannot recall which of the 3 wall jacks was the one that previously had a problem. I think I recall, but I am not 100% sure. Late Sunday, I re-did some wiring to take the one I think was the bad one out and only use the other two. And, last night, it played fine for over an hour. 1 of two things is happening...either I still have some intermittent issue and I just got lucky last night, or I did take the bad port out of action. Also, if the issue is intermittent...it would seem more likely to me that the issue is not a cable but rather a port in my router. I plan to listen more tonight. And I also sent a follow-up question to Sonos to see if the diagnostics just pulls a log of recent events from a couple prior days or if it pulls a fresh assessment of my network. If it's a log and all the issues are before I swapped cables around...then I likely found the issue. If it's a fresh assessment from when I did the "submit diagnostics" last night...then I still have some intermittent issue. Mark

Hey Mark, quick question for ya. How old is your Modem/Router? I was having intermittent drops with my service and after replacing my modem the problem ceased. It would work just fine and cease for no apparent reason only to work again. Looks loke you've already pull your hair out,,,,, this won't help!

It would work just fine and cease for no apparent reason only to work again. Looks loke you've already pull your hair out,,,,, this won't help! LOL...yes...hair long gone! My router is several years old...so, I will invest a little time checking cabling and re-submitting a diagnostic to Sonos and see if I can find a problem there. If not...I am pretty sure it's the router. And...I did just hear back from Sonos on my follow-up. He reported that the log showed dropouts 33 hours, 25 hours, and just a few minutes before my diagnostics submission. So, it appears I just got lucky last night. I will have to think logically about how to minimize the cabling to isolate the issue and expand out from there to find the problem. But, I must say...the Sonos support is pretty good. Mark

Mark, those symptoms sound just like my cable modem going,,,,,,going,,,,,nut it never was gone, just kept bropping out. I am pretty sure my cable modem is fine...it is less than a year old and tests out fine. I am 99% sure the issue is either my router or the cables from it to my ports in the mancave. My system is fairly complex...incoming cable line to cable modem, internet line out to wireless router, lines out from that to mancave ports and a gigabit switch with more lines out to various places. So...a lot of opportunities for a glitch. The cable modem and gigabit switch are fairly new, the router is old and has its overall flaky moments needing a resetmore often that I would like. But,this will take some dedicated troubleshooting time...likely won't happen until Sunday at this point. Mark

I will do a simple test first...I will wire directly from my cable modem to my Sonos unit. And...let it sit there running for several hours, even overnight. I will then submit a diagnostics to Sonos. If a problem shows, it is the cable modem or outside my house. If not, it is after that. Then, I will narrow in from there. Buying and setting up a new router and linking everything to it is a fairly big job. So, I do not take that lightly...more of a last resort!

Hi seppo - If you don't mind my asking, HOW exactly, did you find those albums. When I search for Jennifer Warnes, Tidal gives me a list of albums. When I click the "more" button, I get a few more, but not "The Hunter." When I search for "The Hunter," I get a list of albums, but when I click the "more" button, it still doesn't show the Jennifer Warnes album. What search string are you using that I'm not that allows you to find the album? Thanks - Boom

Seppo, are you in the US?
Boom, I think the streaming rights may vary by country.
Not Tidal's fault, the record company deal with their artist.
