I cut 8 holes in my ceiling but decided to slowly fill them with UAC 8.2's due to budget reasons (half are filled).... can someone tell me why there no longer listed on the site? Or that the cut out diameter for the 8.2's is fairly universal across brands for 8" ceiling speakers?

Andrew, I'm not sure why they're not listed on the web site but I would advise calling them on Monday. Also, there are no standards for this so the diameter for the 8.2s is not necessarily "universal" across bands. Call them and fill them voids with delicious Emo goodness!

Turns out the 8.2s were a closeout item. HTD has an 8" ceiling with the same cutout size, so there seems to be other options out there. Sucks though

I had a pair of Yamaha 8" ceiling speakers that I replaced with the Emo's - same exact cutout size. I noticed no sonic difference but installing the grills on the Emo's was a true pita; the Yamaha's were a piece of cake.

HAHA, i agree about the grills. Although the second pair went in much easier then the first (still a PITA).
