That was fast... Will the monoblocs be as serious as the Gen2? Better? What do you think?

Rather than mono blocks, I'd choose to vertically bi-amp using the new XPA-2s...

Rather than mono blocks, I'd choose to vertically bi-amp using the new XPA-2s... Genuinely curious, why would you suggest that? I mean I vertically bi-amp my Kef's with two mini-x's, but that's because my second mini-x pretty much dropped in my lap and would be laying around collecting dust otherwise. If you have a solid mono amp, I can't see it's going to do any worse than a vertical bi-amp setup; in each case, you get the benefits of stereo separation and a single power supply etc etc... ?

Because the new Emotiva amps aren't offered as mono blocks.

Because the new Emotiva amps aren't offered as mono blocks. As per Audioholics www.audioholics.com/amplifier-reviews/emotiva-xpa-generation-3-amplifiers Emotiva will sell monobloc modules " But what if you want a monoblock design like Emotiva’s Gen 2 XPA-1? Well, for audiophiles who want the purity of monoblocks, Emotiva will be releasing a high power, “double-wide” balanced mono-block module. The XPA Gen 3 chassis will be able to accommodate up to three double-wide modules. Each high power module will allow for an incredible +500 watts at 8 ohms. As you’ve come to expect from Emotiva both the double-wide and standard modules are stable into 2 ohm loads. "

Get a two of these and you can have a differential balance surround system.

Lonnie said that he was working on a two blade balanced channel. Two of them together in a Gen. 3 case would be awesome for vertical biamping.
