Oppo and Tidal are officially in bed and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this marriage? I am most interested in Tidal's Lossless Audio and if in translates well into practice/sound...

I use it pretty much every weekend and I like it. I am no audiophile but it sounds pretty darn good to me.

My Oppo doesn't recognize Tidal directly. Am I overdue for a download-update?

My Oppo doesn't recognize Tidal directly. Am I overdue for a download-update? I just powered up my system and tapped Media Controller on my IPad and im listening to Zeppelin at the moment. No problem at all. I havent updated my Oppo since the latest update that installed Tidal on my Oppo. Keep us posted boom, did you try to use the IPad? Are they both on the same network?

Oppo 103 here with Tidal and I'm loving it, also play Tidal on my PC with a Little EGO DAC to my headphones and last but not least picked up a Sonos Play 1 through Airmiles(Free) and downloaded the Sonos app to my Note 4 and it works so great to have just a speaker around the house anywhere I want it, but yes Oppo and Tidal is heavenly for me Chad

My Oppo doesn't recognize Tidal directly. Am I overdue for a download-update? You need the latest firmware. Tidal will then be a selection on the home screen.

I am indeed enjoying Tidal quite a bit, but I have not yet run it through my Oppo. I have run it on my PC's and via Sonos...love the Sonos interface. I have not even tried to run it via my Oppo.
In any case, the sound quality is fantastic - just like a CD but a lot more selection than I own!

One word about it, you need the Oppo Media Controller app on a smart device that is on the same local area network, then the Tidal interface works just like the native app on that device. So far it has been bullet-proof for me. What a god send, because the coax spdif I built in my walls to my computer has never worked well.
