I have a UMC-1 XPA-5, the amp is fine but the UMC is just long in the tooth and had to many HDMI issues. Any suggestions for a new processor I want to keep the amp. I also use Axiom speakers not sure if this helps in choices of processors.
What's a good match with XPA-5?

If you liked the UMC ( I did) the XMC will blow you away. Sold my UMC and moved up, best move I have made in years. If you wanted to wait maybe the XMR?

The XMC-1 is really good at what it does. It is $$$$ though

It's supposed to be "in the ballpark" with the XMC-1, has Dirac but not the balanced connections, and much less expensive. I can't imagine that it won't start off the bat with the up-to-date HDMI/HDCP specs, but I would wait and see. Having HDR support is still a big question. They will be demo'd at CES in just a week. Meanwhile, the XMC-1 will continue to be upgradable, so if you have the coin, you can still go that route now, and get the new HDMI board for $299. I expect to upgrade to the 4K universe in 2016, we'll see. Still waiting for the dust to settle before making any decisions myself.

I waiting to see the specifications for the replacement for the UMC-200, the Emersa range just wouldn't fit asthetically with all my other Emotiva gear.
Happy New Year Gary

My primary use case is my home theatre which means XBOX Wii and Movies. I have 5.1 now might move up to 7.1.
Appreciate the replies.
