Well, it's official, I just beer bonged the Emotiva blue drink while inserting a heavy flow IV drip of the same. My XPA-7 and XMC-1 just shipped! After reading 100+ pages of the forum I knew you all were my people and this was my gear. Replacing a wonderful B&K 507 that is showing its age and firmly stepping into the 21st century. Next upgrade will be my 2 channel setup. Excited to be part of this community.

Welcome. You're off to a great start into the wild blue. As it is with all forums, it will be up to you to separate the signal from the noise. Cheers! T-

Great choices and welcome to blue light fever, it's contagious. I even chose a new USB hub because it had a blue LED that matched the blue LED in the BigEgo that sits between it and an EHDD that also has a blue LED. Happy New Year Gary

Welcome donnbauer to the Lounge! Some very nice M&K squawk boxes you've got there! Timbre matched ..... I can see that we see eye to eye. Wow, I just looked at your profile and you're from Enumscratch (We had friends living there many years ago and that was our nickname for your town). I live in the Issy Quah area. You are on the gateway to heaven (Ohanapacosh, Paradise, Sunrise, Crystal, 410 summit and other wonderful places)!

Yes Sir Chuck, home of high winds and higher property taxes! good to know there is another blue drink consumer close. When I auditioned the M&Ks I had a "money not a factor" approach and tried everything I could get my ears in front of, I kept coming back to the M&K and then leaving to find something better after a year I pulled the trigger and have been smiling ever since. LCR and surrounds are all on the same vertical plane and laser aimed, the rears are 30" lower but the tripole's love it there. I cant wait to get the XMC-1 and XPA-7 in and Dirac run. I literally giggle in anticipation several times a day when I think about the fun ahead.

They are here!!!!! Darn shipping company had my phone # wrong, my shipment has been sitting there since Tuesday and they were calling some random woman telling her they were ready to deliver. Picked up the goods last night and started the install today. The XPA 7 is a beast, even with double rear supports on the shelf I'm a little nervous.

Picked up the goods last night and started the install today. The XPA 7 is a beast, even with double rear supports on the shelf I'm a little nervous. A beast? What did you expect for about 96 lbs! Watch your back! That's what my wife weighed when we met. I think you are going to be thrilled big time when you hook up your great M&K system to the XPA-7 with in the neighborhood of 320 watts per into 4 ohms with all 7 channels driven. I mean great as I think the M&K's you have are one of the very best HT and multi-channel music speaker systems on the planet for anywhere near the price. Your 7 speakers and sub have many great features and are similar in concept and design to my own smaller Emo Reference system with 3 LCR's and 2 bipole/dipole surrounds with a big sub driven by an XPA-5. I bet your system will sound superb with the new XMC-1/XPA-7. I really look forward to your feedback. PS: I knew they had wanton women down in Enumclaw but didn't know they had random women?
