Seeing recent updates to Dirac on minidsp products ie ability to eq two subs in a similar fashion to Audyssey Sub eq HT do you think that we will get a newer version of the Dirac software for the XMC?
The version we have is 2014, I would have thought we might get the odd update released. |

From what I've seen, that looks like an update to the MiniDSP software (new plugin), not an update to the Dirac software. Also, it looked like you could perform bass management in the MiniDSP, but I wouldn't equate that to SubEQ HT.
Being that it was just shown off at CES, time will tell how capable it really is. There is definitely the possibility of an update to the XMC-1 Dirac capability, but Emotiva has not mentioned anything specific AFAIK.

Forgot I posted on here  Thanks for the reply. I did think that the Dirac update was going to allow time alignment and level matching prior to equalising of two or more subs. Must have misread that. Would be nice if we got an update too at some point. |
