We were recently forced by our local cable company (who has a monopoly on local service) to rent a descrambler box for our TV. The remote they gave us is this one: So long story short, my better half (despite being smarter than me) refuses to learn how to use the remote, complaining that "it's too complicated," and then disturbing me a dozen times a day to come "fix" the TV. What she wants is an inexpensive, simple remote with the following functions: Power on/off (single button that powers up/down BOTH the TV and the remote box) Volume up/down (function controlled via the TV - not the cable box Channel selector numbers Previous channel button Mute So a total of 14 buttons - no more or she'll get confused, push the wrong button, and call me to help. I could buy a multi-function (multi-device) remote & disable all the unneeded buttons, but then she'd be repeatedly pushing a button that she shouldn't and complain that nothing's happening. I'm tired of being live-in tech support. Please help! Boom

My wife likes these so much we have 3 of them and she wants another in my sons Loft. Also since you are tech support in the event something goes wrong you can correct from a different room or out of the house using your smart phone. (yes you can connect over 3g or 4g)

I would double dog dare you to try and take the Harmony Ultimate remote away from my wife. And I guarantee you would regret trying.
