I've had this same problem. It's fairly well documented. No way to get rid of it, either live with it or move on.

So is a fix planned. This noise really screams low quality to my ears.

I don't use the internal DAC on the XMC-1, I run an external DAC. CD-DAC- analog inputs, never an issue with clicking or popping. Try putting your DC-1 in and see if it clears the problem. Unfortunately, Yes it is a workaround.

So is a fix planned. This noise really screams low quality to my ears. It could be fixed. They say it's something in the dsp. I had a friend with an anthem receiver, it did the same thing. When he upgraded to a newer model they had figured out how to fix it.

I discovered it only does it with Dirac enabled...surely this can be fixed via firmware...did search and people have complained about this for 2 years or so...doesn't give me much confidence that there will be a fix...
Going to try reset and redo Dirac. I had scary loud popping when I first set it up and had to power cycle to clear this...maybe this fluke is the cause.

I'll double check firmware. I only got it last week so I assumed it was to lasted.
Sometimes songs have a slower start in tidal...then I get like 5 fast clicking. Might of been fine if there was a quick 1 click/pop, but it's not consistent and does it enough that it really stands out. Same thing in scene switches in streaming Netflix today.
I need to get this fixed. Artifacts like this are frustrating in otherwise clean sound.

This happens to me on the Fusion 8100 too. Seems to love to do it when the PC is the selected source and there's silence. It also has a panic attack when I boot my PS3 for some reason. Figure a firmware update somewhere down the line may fix it.

Nothing gets fixed but they ain't gonna fix it anyway.

You just need to double size your kool aid glass. It fixes everything.
